Six études pour hautbois solo by Gilles Silvestrini and Collision Etudes by Alyssa Morris demonstrate the vast possibilities of pedagogical goals being explored through highly entertaining and programmatic concert works. Morris used Silvestrini’s set of etudes as a model for her own composition.
